Start by putting white vinegar inside a small spray bottle, then spray down the glass surface liberally. Let the vinegar sit in for several minutes, then wipe it off. It it has been awhile since you last cleaned the surface, it may take several applications to remove all traces of soap scum. Using white vinegar also helps the surface be streak clean when you're finished.

You can make a simple cleaning solution by mixing baking soda and a small amount of water together to form a paste. All you need to do is wipe off all surfaces with the squeegee when you are done bathing, which should remove bacteria and soap residue that would cause the surfaces to look bad. Just let the surface air dry, and you'll need to perform a deep cleaning less frequently.
